IND's Gelbgrun M2
IND Distribution is world wide distributor for BMW aftermarket parts. Over the years their relationship has grown with us at AutoCouture. This is their second SEMA car they shipped over to us from Illinois to take care of while its here for car shows on the east coast. While this Gelbgrun M2 was in our care for a few weeks, I took some time out to light paint it in the shop after hours.
Spain's Cycle Bar Session
With the latest addition to Cycle Bar Wyckoff, we snapped some head shots and studio action shots of spin instructor, Spain, for their marketing.
Sam Van Heest's E90 M3
Sam linked up with 2M Autowerks to run one of only a handful of velocity stack setups on the S65 engine. This is a light painting set I did for Ultimate Klasse.
Lime Rock Park Historic Festival 2018
While Lime Rock Park Historic Festival is in it’s 36th year, this has been my 7th Historic Festival. It is something my cousin and father look forward to attending at the end of each summer. Every year they highlight a different manufacturer and this year was Bugatti. Ralph Lauren, Peter Mullen and many other people from all over the world shipped out their Bugatti’s for this event. Midday, on our way back to the car for lunch, the Bugatti’s lined up for their parade lap right along side of us. It was quite a scene to be front row for and as the cars piled in, so too did the crowd. Car, after car, they packed the pathway and 5 feet in front of us happened to be a beautifully restored 1913 Type 22. The owner of the Type 22, turned our way, introduced himself as Alan Travis and asked if my cousin and I could help him bump start the car when the parade moved up. It just so happens to be one of the oldest Bugatti’s on the road in the world. This car has stayed in the family for generations and like all of us today, he found it for sale online. Alan told us the stipulation for the family to sell him the car was strictly for it to be restored and loved, not flipped for profit. With hundreds of hours into the restoration, needless to say he is honoring the family’s wishes and enjoying displaying the car in shows and rallies all over the world. You can also find him on Jay Leno’s garage discussing the car in more detail. We chatted for a little while longer and when the time came to get it moving, my cousin and I moved Alan on his way. The races never disappoint and the corral is full of the rare and unique cars, but it is down in the paddocks that always has the surprises hiding behind the trailers and under the tents. Here’s some details and cars from the event. Thanks for checking in!
